Day 23
Psalm 30:4-5
“Sing to the LORD, you saints of his; praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may last for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”
Meditation – These verses remind us of God’s faithfulness to us! He promises that he’s always there for us in the midst of trials and struggles. In our humanness, it’s often difficult to find joy in the middle of unpleasant situations. But, the situations become more bearable when we keep our eyes fixed on the one who walks alongside us in every situation.
Prompt/Response – Take time to think through the difficult times you’ve had and how, looking back, you can now see God’s fingerprints all over it. If you’re in a particular situation right now, look for areas where God is at work and choose to remain joyful. As an added bonus, listen to (Darrell Evans – “Trading My Sorrows”). Let this song be in your heart today!
