Christmas Musical OPEN AUDITIONS!

We have exciting news! This year we are having a Christmas musical! There are parts that require singing and parts that don’t! AUDITIONS ARE SUNDAY AUGUST 21ST FROM 3-5 PM. Everyone is welcome to audition and we have parts that range 3 years old and up! We also need volunteers to help backstage and with some pre-show work if you want to be involved without performing. FAQ

  • Who is leading this production?

Aaron McAllister will be the director and main contact for this production, and Natalie Cole will be second in command as Stage Manager. 

  • Who all is needed for this production?

As many people as possible! It takes an army to put on a show. We’re not only looking for actors and singers, we also need choir members, stage crew, costume help, tech help, builders, and much more! All are welcome!

  • What ages are needed?

We need everyone ages 3 and up! All are welcome!

  • When is the show?

The shows are on December 3rd and 4th at 6:00 PM!

  • When are the Auditions?

Auditions are on August 21st at 3:00 PM, Just enough time to fellowship in a small group, grab some lunch, and come back to the church!

  • When are rehearsals?

Rehearsal times will vary depending on the role you receive. They will begin in early September and increase closer to the show dates (Including a few “Tech Rehearsals” the three days before the show where we will work intensively with the set, lights, costumes, and everything else. Dinner will be provided.) After the show is cast, we will decide on the best days and times for everyone to rehearse!

  • Do I have to sing?

No, unless you would be ok with singing. Our audition form will have a space for you to say if you are willing to sing or not.

  • What do I have to do for auditions?

Auditions are going to be VERY simple. 

For the general cast of the show: You will first fill out a quick form including contact info, shirt sizes, performance background, and other preferences. Then, all we’ll have you do is read a quick monologue from the script and sing a 15-second clip of a well-known worship song. You can also come with a small segment of a song prepared if you would like

For people just wanting to be in the choir: We will have you fill out the same form, but then all you will need to do is sing the quick clip from the song we choose or of your own choosing. It is preferred that, if you want to be in the choir, you have a relative knowledge of reading sheet music.

For all other crew: All we really need from you is the form filled out and any preferences/interests that you have as it pertains to production and musicals.

Again, ALL are welcome to jump in and help out! The goal is to bring glory to God through it all, so if you’re willing to do that, then you’re NEEDED!

  • Do I have to pay anything?

Other than some possible small costume elements and things of that nature, there is NO COST to you! Just a little bit of time and a whole lot of fun!
