This is a class for parents/guardians and for kids currently going into the 4th through 8th grades (Parents/Guardians must participate with the kids). Pastor Jeff Jones will lead the parents while our director of Children’s Ministries, Natalie Cole, and Director of Middle School & Youth Ministries, Dana Higgins, lead the kids. The final 30 minutes of each class will be a time for parent/guardian to interact individually with their child. This 3 week class will be Sundays April 7th, 14th, & 21st from 12:15-2:15. Lunch is provided as well as childcare for siblings too young to take the class. Over the course of 3 weeks we will discuss:
Who God says we are/self image
Friendships & Relationships
Bullying/ Pornography/ Technology
The differences in males & females and why God created them different
Sex & Puberty
The purpose of this class is to get parents and students talking about this important topic and to give them tools to help them along the way. Because we believe this is such an important topic and we want everyone to be able to participate, the church is covering half of the curriculum fee. That means that the cost for the class is $30.
