What Community Rescue Mission does for our community

Community Rescue Mission is a faith-based, Christian organization that instills hope and empowers the lives of families and children in crisis due to homelessness. We provide safe shelter, meals, case management, and spiritual enrichment to prepare families to acquire jobs and live successful, independent, productive lives.

What Grace Community Church does for the Community Rescue Mission

  • Orders, picks up, and delivers supplies monthly
  • Provides food preparation and serving meals
  • Supports local fundraising events
  • Provides supplies for families and special events

What does volunteering look like?

Volunteer Opportunities

Prepare, cook, and serve a meal once a month

When? 3rd Thursday of the month from 4:30 to 6:00PM

How long will volunteers be there? 1.5 hours

What exactly will they do? Help prepare a meal that has already been planned in advance by the CRM staff. Then serve the meal at 5:30 pm

Will they go there alone the first time or with our liaison? With the liaison
the first time or every time. Whatever they are comfortable with.

Help prepare for special events, holidays

Put together Easter baskets after supplies are bought. Sometimes attend game or craft nights during the summer. Dates TBD.

Vacation Bible School

We are in need of two drivers to pick up and drop off kids. VBS is 4 Nights and begins at 5:30. Volunteers would need to drive the church van to and from the Community Rescue Mission.
