What The CALL does for our community

The CALL in Crawford & Sebastian was established in 2009 with the goal of bringing awareness about the needs of children and families in crisis in our community to the attention of the Church. By God's provision, we have expanded our staff, services and support over the last many years. Our homes make up 70% of the traditional foster homes in this area and we are able to regularly support them through our partnerships with businesses, individuals and churches.

In 2018, we expanded our services to include visitation space to DHS involved families at our Support Center. Through our partnership with the Mercy Foundation, we are able to serve an average of 50 families a month. We also work with many local non-profits to increase family stability, improve quality of life and ensure happy, healthy and safe families.

What does volunteering look like?

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Volunteers can specifically help with the Bunny Breakfast, and the Annual Fundraising Banquet, and other events we hold throughout the year. We need help in various ways for both events.
  • We also need help with deep cleaning the visitation areas to make it healthier for our families.  Right now, we need volunteers to wipe down all the toys, and other surfaces in the visitation areas.
  • We need help to wash sheets on our bed and changing table.
  • We are in need of more volunteers!
  • We are an approved non-profit to help our high school aged youth to get credit for their volunteerism required by the State.
